I’m Tom. Hello.
I was previously self employed and made my living helping websites go from A to B. That might meaning making a new site, or it might mean refurbing a site with a particular goal in mind.
However, nowadays I am kept mostly busy studying for my PhD in Artificial Intelligence and do the website stuff only on a part time basis.
My particular interest is SEO/SEM/Usability/Accessibility - I am interested in making sites easy to use and easy to find. I enjoy the fact that this type of work can show you, via tracking, just how well you are doing, which also provides the opportunity to always learn something new.
I’ve started this blog to share little bits that I pick up along the way. When I have time I might even make my own website, rather than work on someone elses! 
As you can see - I’m not terribly… consistent when it comes to blogging. Sorry!
